Meet Yasmeen Khan
When I am moved by a theme, in the news, or something from my own life, I turn to the potter’s wheel. Kneading, throwing, and shaping the clay becomes a process of searching.
In the pursuit of form, I often encounter imperfection—both in the work and in myself. These imperfections are what give each piece its strength and character.
Working with different types of clay and intuitive, hand-drawn slip markings, every piece emerges as a one-time encounter. Material and movement can never be repeated exactly; no work can ever be recreated.
Welcome to my world of clay, where each form carries its own story.
